“Walking through Peanut Butter” - Seed & Spark
2/25/2020
The Seed & Spark campaign for the short pilot I created/wrote/produced/starred in is live!
This fall, we shot a proof of concept for “Walking through Peanut Butter,” a ½-hour single-camera dark comedy based on my own experiences navigating the comedy world of New York City while living with narcolepsy. We’ll use this 10-min short pilot to pitch the series for further development and submit to film festivals.
Check out the campaign here to learn more about the project. (Don’t miss our pitch video with sneak peeks at footage from the short!)
UCB Cage Match Champs
2/21/2020
It was a joy to be back in NYC—mostly because my longtime, long-form improv team, My Brother’s Girlfriend, made it to Cage Match @ UCB Hell’s Kitchen and WON! Say hello to your new champs.
Storytelling Event
2/16/2020
Brief stint back on the East Coast! I performed my new comedic story about dating & chronic illness at Tandem in Bristol, VT to an incredible crowd. Thanks to Suffering the Silence, Zeno Mountain Farm, and The Moth (Burlington).
New Sketch!
1/04/2020
What a sweet treat for the New Year—a new sketch! Peep “How To Talk To Your Kids About Food” for a reminder of just how dangerous a Cronut can be. (And to see me in my element: apologetic teen!)
Move to LA
11/08/19
I’ve relocated to Los Angeles! After a tearful “see ya later” to NYC and a road trip across the country (ask me about it—it was beautiful & got weird!), I now call LA my home base. Thanks, New York, for putting me together like Mrs. Potato Head over the past 6.5 years.
BUT: I’m bi-coastal! Here’s where I can work as a local hire:
LA
NYC
Chicago
Cleveland

Filming of Proof of Concept!
9/22/19
We’ve finished filming for the proof of concept for "Walking through Peanut Butter," a dark comedy based on my experiences navigating the NYC comedy world with narcolepsy. As the creator of the project, I was the producer, writer, and lead actor.
Over only 2 days, the scrappiest, kindest crew shot a proof of concept for the series that will also serve as a 10-minute stand-alone short film to submit to festivals. Energy empty, heart full!
Look out for some teasers and our post-production crowdfunding campaign, coming soon…
Podcast Interview
Had a blast chatting about the use of comedy and storytelling in spreading awareness of sleep disorders and chronic illness! Listen here or wherever you listen to podcasts (search “Narcolepsy360”).
Want to book me to write or speak about the stigmas of sleep and laziness and how they contribute to burnout culture or how to use first-person storytelling in advocacy and spreading awareness? Email me at annaleighmarr@gmail.com.

Honored to play the “Miranda” in a Sex and the City parody, “Sex and the Country.” Produced by Headcow Productions, we shot in Old Greenwich and chomped happily on MoonPies.
Had a blast filming a branded content shoot for Elite Daily through Bustle Digital Group. Look out for two BFFs in their gorgeous Brooklyn loft very soon.

Weekly Show at UCB
I'm performing with a hilarious team of advanced improvisers at UCB every Tuesday at 11pm this September. The form is a classic but difficult one: The Movie. Watch a new movie premiere each week! Find all the details here.
Welcome, VO Demo.
Hello folks, my voiceover demo is complete! Many thanks to my wonderful teacher, John McKinney of Pomann Sound. For all your hungry pre-teen, adventurous high schooler, Valley Girl texter, nervous first dater, and snarky bank teller vocal needs, listen here.
NANNIES: the webseries is live!
I'm excited to announce that NANNIES: the webseries is now available in full—all 6 toddler-sized episodes. You can watch it HERE. I hope you enjoy this short-form comedic webseries, which is my first foray into film producing, as much as we loved making it.
NANNIES: coming 6/27/17!
After a year of producing behind-the-scenes, we're releasing NANNIES: the webseries in full on Tues. 6/27/17!
NANNIE is about three less-than-stellar 20 somethings entrusted with taking care of the next generation while their parents are at yoga. Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram for daily teasers and release info, and watch the series on YouTube!
Sound Bites 4.0
@ The Signature!
I got to work with my good friend Rebekah Allen again & finally debut "Franklin Pierce: Dragon Slayer (The Untold Story of America’s Debatably Least Effective President)," book & lyrics by Preston Allen, music by Will Buck. It was part of TheatreNow NY's Sound Bites festival, an annual showcase of 10-minute musicals. We were so lucky to perform on the Irene Diamond Stage at The Signature! Most importantly, "Franklin Pierce" was brought to life, like the title character is in the show, and I got to judge & berate him as I've always wanted.
Pictures here, video coming soon!
Livin' that yacht life! I had a blast filming my first pilot, "Everyone You Hate Is Here," this April. I play the lead, Mary—a high school junior & aspiring chef with few social skills who is hired to run the kitchen at a Long Island yacht club. (Think "Party Down" for teenagers.) Look for it in a few months!
Check these photos from set.
Everyone You Hate is Here

My self-produced webseries, which I also co-wrote and starred in, is currently in its post-production phase. We're looking to premiere soon... Stay tuned!
